‘I’m Not Here To Rebuild’: Raiders DE Maxx Crosby Sets High Expectations

No More Rebuilding Phase

“I’m not here to rebuild,” Crosby said. “I’m here to win now. We have the talent, the coaching staff, and the front office to do it. I’m not going to wait for anything.”

Crosby, a third-round pick in 2019, has emerged as one of the most promising pass rushers in the NFL. He recorded 10 sacks and 17 tackles for loss in 2021, earning Pro Bowl honors.

Team with Super Bowl Aspirations

The Raiders have struggled in recent years, but Crosby believes the tide is turning. With the addition of quarterback Derek Carr, wide receiver Davante Adams, and a revamped defense, the team has Super Bowl aspirations.

Ready to Step Up

Crosby is confident that he can play a major role in the Raiders’ success. “I’m ready to step up and be a leader on this team,” he said. “I’m going to do whatever it takes to help us win.”

Coach McDaniels Impressed

Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels praised Crosby’s attitude and work ethic. “Maxx is a young player with a lot of potential,” McDaniels said. “He’s hungry to prove himself, and he’s willing to put in the work. I’m excited to see what he can do this season.”

Outlook for the Raiders

The Raiders will open their regular season on September 11 at SoFi Stadium against the Los Angeles Chargers. With Crosby leading the defense, they will look to make a strong statement in their first game under McDaniels.
