Led by quarterback Jaren Hall, running back Christopher Brooks, and a dynamic receiving corps, BYU’s offense has been an unstoppable force. Through 12 games, they have averaged 46 points per game, ranking among the top teams in the nation. Hall has thrown for 3,069 yards and 28 touchdowns, while Brooks has amassed over 1,400 rushing yards and 15 touchdowns.
“This offense is special,” said head coach Kalani Sitake. “Our players have bought into the system and are playing with incredible confidence.”
Complementing the high-octane offense, BYU’s defense has been equally impressive. Led by linebacker Keenan Pili, defensive lineman Lorenzo Fauatea, and cornerback D’Angelo Mandell, the Cougars have allowed an average of just 18 points per game. Fauatea leads the nation with 15.5 tackles for loss, while Pili has intercepted four passes.
“Our defense is a hard-nosed group,” said defensive coordinator Ilaisa Tuiaki. “They’re always ready to give it their all and make plays when we need them.”
With a 10-2 record, BYU is poised to finish the regular season undefeated and earn a berth in the College Football Playoff. It would be the first time a non-Power Five team has made it to the playoff.
“This is a dream come true for our team,” said Hall. “We’ve worked incredibly hard and we’re ready to make history.”
As BYU prepares for the postseason, they have set their sights on the national championship. With their unmatched talent and unwavering determination, the Cougars believe anything is possible.
“We’re not afraid to take on anyone,” said Sitake. “Our goal is to win the championship, and we’re going to do everything we can to make it happen.”
