Green Bay Finishes Off Thanksgiving With Carving Of Miami

Green Bay, WI – The Green Bay Packers put the finishing touches on their Thanksgiving feast by carving up the Miami Dolphins 31-12 Thursday afternoon. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon combined for 209 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while Aaron Rodgers threw for 197 yards and a touchdown as the Packers improved to 8-3 on the season.

Packers Control the Line of Scrimmage

The Packers dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. They rushed for 218 yards and held the Dolphins to just 66 yards on the ground. The Packers also sacked Tua Tagovailoa four times and forced him into two interceptions.

“We knew we had to control the line of scrimmage today,” said Packers coach Matt LaFleur. “Our offensive line did a great job of opening up holes for our running backs, and our defensive line did a great job of disrupting their offense.”

Jones and Dillon Lead Packers’ Rushing Attack

Jones and Dillon were a force on the ground for the Packers. Jones rushed for 102 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, while Dillon added 101 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries.

“It was a great day for our running game,” said Jones. “The offensive line did a great job of opening up holes for us, and we were able to take advantage of it.”

Rodgers Throws for a Touchdown

Rodgers was efficient in the passing game, completing 16 of 25 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown pass was a 29-yarder to Allen Lazard in the third quarter.

“It was a good day for our offense,” said Rodgers. “We were able to move the ball and score points, and that’s all that matters.”

Dolphins Struggle to Get Offense Going

The Dolphins offense struggled to get going against the Packers’ defense. Tagovailoa completed just 18 of 33 passes for 229 yards and two interceptions. He was also sacked four times.

“We didn’t play well enough today,” said Dolphins coach Brian Flores. “We didn’t execute on offense, we didn’t tackle well on defense, and we didn’t make enough plays on special teams.”

Packers Look Ahead to Bears

The Packers will now turn their attention to the Chicago Bears, who they will face on Sunday Night Football next week. The Bears are 5-6 on the season, but they have won their last two games.

“The Bears are a good team,” said LaFleur. “They’re well-coached and they have some talented players. We’re going to have to be ready to play our best game of the season.”
